Rih's Boo-Lovin' Again?

I'm sure most of you have heard by now that Rihanna is back OFF the market. Well, kinda. She's been spotted with LA Dodger Matt Kemp vacationing in Mexico and the hottie also went to Abu Dhabi, for Rihanna’s NYE performance.

How he and Rihanna met is still not clear. But they are rumored to have met backstage when Rihanna performed at Hammerstein Ballroom. Yet, others say they have been dating since he appeared in her newest video, "Hard". If you pay close attention, he is the third soldier in the beginning of the video.

Rihanna stated recently in several interviews before the holidays, that all she really wanted for Christmas was good food and good sex. I can't speak for the food, but I'm almost positive she got the latter with that hottie.

T.I. released from prison

Tuesday morning, Clifford “T.I.” Harris was released from Forrest City penitentiary after serving only 7 months of his 366 day sentence.   The 29 year old rapper’s new address will be a halfway house for the next 3 months.  Residents are able to leave for work and contact with family.  So Christmas came early for Tiny and the kiddies. 

When T.I. official goes home, he will still be under house arrest for another 23 days but I don’t see this stopping Mr. Harris’ hustle.  I predict a welcome back concert in the works. Hell – he may even be at the Grammy's in January (that’s “work” right?). T.I. was nominated for his collaboration with Justin Timberlake, “Dead and Gone” and definitely deserves it. Welcome Home TIP!

Remembering Brittany Murphy

(November 10, 1977 – December 20, 2009)

            Sunday, December 20, Hollywood lost a very talented and diverse actress. Brittany Murphy died early Sunday morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived.  Because of her new small frame (as opposed to her pudgy look in her Clueless days), rumors were circulating that drugs were involved.  Her husband, Simon Monjack was totally devastated by these rumors and cleared it up with the Daily News.  He stated that his late wife  had laryngitis and also suffered from a heart murmur, but that neither appeared serious leading up to her untimely death Sunday morning.  Foul play was ALSO suspected because Mr. Monjack didn’t want an autopsy but  he stated that he just didn’t want her to be “cut up.” TMZ reported that several medications including the anti-seizure medication Topamax, anti-anxiety medications Klonopin and Ativan, pain killers Vicoprofen and hydrocodone, depression medication Fluoxetine and hypertension medication Propranolol were found in Murphy’s home. But she is said to have died from natural causes.

Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word."  But I will never forget her role as Tia and Tamara’s best friend Sarah on “Sister Sister.”

        Kutcher, who had a romantic relationship with Brittany before his wife Demi, paid homage to Murphy via twitter: "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out to Brittany's family, her husband, and her amazing mother Sharon." Through Brittany's rep, the family released a statement: "The sudden loss of our beloved Brittany is a terrible tragedy. She was our daughter, our wife, our love and a shining star. We ask you to respect our privacy at this time." The ehug family sends our condolences to the Murphy and Monjack families.

Chris Brown is Angry!

I guess those anger management classes aren’t quite working for Chris. Chris Brown has had it with the industry. He feels that most major distributors have abandoned his album and are blackballing him by refusing to stock their shelves with his latest album entitled “Graffiti”, due to the non-existent presence of his album in their stores. He recently took to his twitter account to express his disdain for the industry stating:

 

"im tired of this s----. major stores r blackballing my cd. not stockin the shelves and lying to costumers..."

"yeah i said it and i aint retracting s---..."

"im not biting my tongue about s--- else... the industry can kiss my ass."

 

 

Many people have issues with his rant and believe that the reason that major stores refuse become a venue in which people can buy his album is his own fault. The stores who will not distribute his album (Wal-Mart) do not have to support a convicted woman beater; despite the fact that he has apologized numerous times for his misgivings. Others believe that he is a human being, and an entertainer, but NOT a role model. I disagree with that notion however, he is a human being and this should serve as a lesson to other young entertainers that the entertainment business is not a forgiving industry. I personally think that Chris Brown needs to stop assuming the victim role, and should fire his publicist. Outbursts, such as the one he displayed on twitter are childish and unprofessional and do not look good… at all. Maybe he forgot that in the entertainment business IMAGE is everything, and your FEELINGS mean nothing, and your ACTIONS are watched closely and scrutinized constantly. If you don’t believe us, ask Tiger Woods who has lost numerous endorsement deals, and all he did was CHEAT on his wife. He didn’t punch her in the face or bite her. He’s being hung by the media even though SHE nearly killed him!!! No one has labeled her a monster or a devil. However, she’s not the entertainer, or public figure, Tiger is, so HE’S the monster and the public is up in arms and chanting “Tiger, how could you?” in unison. Maybe there is a double standard that’s not being pointed out in the entertainment industry. Are men are bashed in the media and are women being handled with wool gloves? I guess that’s something new to explore and a new thought for you guys to ponder.

Chris Henry Dies After Dispute

It seems as domestic violence reigned supreme this year and resulted in tragic accidents. Just yesterday, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry died , a day after falling out of the back of a pickup truck during what police said was a domestic dispute with his fiancee. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Henry died at 6:36 a.m. Henry was 26.

 

“We knew him in a different way than his public persona,” Bengals owner Mike Brown said of the player who was suspended five times during his career. “He had worked through the troubles in his life and had finally seemingly reached the point where everything was going to blossom. And he was going to have the future we all wanted for him. It’s painful to us. We feel it in our hearts, and we will miss him.”

Snooki gets SOCKED!

        

            Next Thursday, December 17th, MTV will air the most anticipated punch in reality TV history on their new series "Jersey Shore"

The incident occurred on August 19th during the filming of the reality show at the Beachcomber Bar and Grill.  As seen in the previews, it started all over a drink. Nicole aka Snooki confronted Brad Ferro for taking her drink and he retaliated by punching her in the face. 
        Ferro was arrested and found guilty of assault. He was fined $500 and given a 6 month suspended jail sentence.

        TMZ reports that MTV will run a PSA about violence during the episode. It reads: "Violence against women in any form is a crime. If you or someone you know is being abused by a boyfriend, family member or total stranger, please call 911 or log on to www.loveisrespect.org for information and help. You can also call The National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline at 1-866-331-9474 for immediate support."

The Artist formerly known as Pleasure P

            The artist formerly known as Pleasure P would like to be called Marcus Cooper from now on.  Cooper spoke to Vibe TV about his three Grammy nominations that were eclipsed by terrible child molestation allegations.  He thanks his fans and warns them not to believe what they see on the internet. His debut album "The Introduction of Marcus Cooper" is in stores now and he's already working on a new album "Suppertime" due next year.

Dont CRY A.I.!

       

    In a move that appeared farfetched after their acrimonious split in 2006, the 76ers reunited with the briefly retired Iverson on Wednesday in a move designed to spike sagging attendance and fill in for the injured Lou Williams

             Allen Iverson's first stint with the Philadelphia 76ers ended with the team yanking his nameplate off his locker and editing him out of video highlights before he was even traded.

          The Sixers might want to find him a new locker and cue up some clips. Philly fans, pull out that No. 3 jersey from the closet. A.I. is a Sixer again.

        Iverson will make his debut Monday night at home against Denver -- one of three teams he's called home since leaving Philly. The 10-time All-Star-turned-journeyman is determined to prove he still has something to offer in that No. 3 jersey. His new boss is betting Iverson can help the staggering Sixers make a push in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

                Iverson sobbed during his first press conference as a returning Sixer.  After discussing this with a friend, I honestly believe this move was evident and necessary because no matter how much jumping around he has done in the league he will always be a Sixer and should retire there.

Congrats Wayne...Again!

Rapper, Lil Wayne welcomes his second child of the year by singer, Nivea on Nov 30^th; he had a son, Lennox Samuel Ari with actress Lauren Londonin September, and another son, Dwayne III, back in October of 2008.

The 27-year-old Louisiana rapper has four children total. His eldest, 11-year-old Reginae, just celebrated her birthday this past weekend with Wayne and mother Toya Carter's daughter, the star of BETreality show 'Tiny & Toya.'

Baby Neal is Nivea's fouth as well, as she had three children from a previous relationship with singer/producer The Dream, who is now hitched to Christina Milian. There is no word as to whether Wayne was able to be present at the childbirth. Unfortunately, he will be away from his 4 children for  a bit.

Wayne is due back in court in NYC on Dec. 15 to receive sentencing for a gun charge he caught back in 2007, for which he is expected to serve at least 8 months in jail.

He is currently rumored to be shacking up with his Young Money artist Shanell.

Oh Tiger!

 

Tiger Woods caught up in the love triangle from hell or a taste of his own medicine? Well let's just say that we didn't see this one coming but corny guys get it in too! After the mini accident outside of his Florida home this past weekend, the investigation went left when neither Tiger or his wife interviewed with police right away. To add insult to injury his alleged mistress that surfaced a week prior to the accident, Jamiee Grubbs, brought her story on further to US Weekly to confirm it. Talk about a tell all, she even had him on voicemail as well as kinky text messages? Wow! Low blow for sure. Here's the audio:

And after all of that yesterday Tiger put out this statement:

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions 

with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the 

behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am 

far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal 

failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings 

should be shared by us alone."

Well Tiger, it is what it is. Let's hope his image can manage when this boils over and let's hope his wife doesn't drag him in the mud, it's always cheaper to keep her or he can always pull a Kobe and get the emergency-makeup-rock, right?
